

Busy Day at TPA Lubumbashi Office!
On June 5th, 2025, the newly appointed Tanzania Consul General in Lubumbashi, DRC, Hon. Magubilo Muroba, paid an official visit to the Tanzania Ports Authority (TPA) office in Lubumbashi.
Hon. Muroba commended the TPA team for their impressive efforts in facilitating business and delivering exceptional services, which have significantly increased the volume of DRC cargo through the Port of Dar es Salaam.
In related engagements on June 5th, 2025, the Chairman of the Tanzania Long Distance Transport Association (TLDT), Mr. Hassan Dede, visited the TPA Lubumbashi office to discuss strategies for enhancing the efficiency of DRC cargo transportation via the Port of Dar es Salaam.
On the same day, President of the All SADC Countries Drivers Association, Mr. Mande Mbuya, also met with the TPA team to explore collaborative solutions for improving the transportation of goods from the DRC through the Dar es Salaam port.
The TPA remains steadfast in its mission to provide seamless, high-quality services and to foster regional partnerships that support trade growth and logistics excellence across Africa.

The Tanzania Ports Authority (TPA) Office in Kolwezi DRC, organised a meeting with customers and stakeholders in Kolwezi On 17 April 2025.
The guests of honour were His Excellency the Consul General of The United Republic of Tanzania to the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) based in Lubumbashi, Hon. Jacob Pius Msekwa, and His Excellency the Minister of Transport of Lualaba Province in DRC, Hon. Jeffrey Masuka.

The Consul General of The United Republic of Tanzania in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), based in Lubumbashi, Hon. Jacob P. Msekwa, together with the TPA Country Representative in Kolwezi Ms. Kuruthum A. Ngunguti, held a meeting with the Governor of Lualaba Province, Her Excellency Fifi Masuka Saini, on 16th April 2025 in Kolwezi.
The discussions focused on strengthening economic ties between Tanzania and the DRC through enhanced use of Tanzanian ports. During the meeting, the Governor expressed keen interest in visiting Tanzanian ports to witness the significant improvements made and to explore further areas of collaboration.
